AMD EPYC 3rd Gen, the fastest server CPU in the world, has been launched

The EPYC 7003 series, which AMD officially introduced, is rumored to be the world's fastest server processor. From the lowest series, the EPYC 72F3 with 8 cores and 16 threads, to the highest, the EPYC 7763 with 64 cores and 128 threads, a total of 19 processors were introduced.

By offering the greatest performance of all server CPUs with 19% more instructions per clock, AMD EPYC Third Generation is designed to assist HPC (High-performance computing), cloud, and enterprise customers do more, faster.

The Zen 3 architecture is used by the AMD EPYC 7003 series, which also supports class-leading PCIe 4 connectivity and memory bandwidth while adding a higher degree of per-core cache memory. Modern security measures are also provided, including AMD Infinity Guard and a brand-new function called Secure Encrypted Virtualization-Secure Nested Paging (SEV-SNP).

By establishing an isolated execution environment, SEV-SNP enhances the EPYC processor's existing SEV features and adds robust memory integrity protection capabilities to help stop malicious hypervisor-based assaults.

For HPC, cloud, and enterprise customers, these features and capabilities work together to improve business outcomes and accelerate time to results.

The AMD EPYC 7003 Series provides faster discovery times with increased I/O and memory throughput for HPC users who want to run more simulations over an extended length of time, use larger data sets, or use more complicated models. By combining this with the potent Zen 3 architecture, up to twice as much performance for HPC tasks as the competition is possible.

The AMD EPYC 7003 Series CPUs, on the other hand, offer the largest core density, cutting-edge security features, and up to 2X integer performance over rivals, making them ideal for cloud providers who need compute density and security capabilities.

By the end of 2021, the AMD EPYC processor ecosystem is anticipated to have expanded dramatically, with more than 400 cloud instances leveraging the full EPYC generation and 100 new server platforms utilizing Third Generation EPYC CPUs. Solutions powered by AMD EPYC 7003 Series processors are being marketed and distributed internationally by OEM, ODM, cloud service providers, and distributor partners.
